If the SSID (Wi-Fi network name) has changed and you need to reconnect your device to the new network, follow these steps based on your device type:
Windows (10/11):
- Click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar (bottom right).
- Find the new SSID (network name) in the list.
- Click on it and choose "Connect."
- Enter the Wi-Fi password, if prompted.
Mac (macOS):
- Click the Wi-Fi icon in the top-right menu bar.
- Select the new SSID from the list.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password if required.
- You're connected once the icon shows full signal.
iPhone / iPad (iOS):
- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Tap the new SSID.
- Enter the password.
- Tap Join.
Android (varies by version/device):
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
- Tap the new SSID from the list.
- Enter the password, then tap Connect.
If the device won’t connect or shows the old SSID:
- Forget the old network:
- Windows/Mac: Right-click or use network settings to “Forget” the old SSID.
- Mobile devices: Tap the old SSID, choose “Forget.”
- Restart the device if needed.
